One of the most USEFUL apps for shift workers!

Apart from the obvious function of seeing when I am rostered to work, I definitely appreciate being able to request shift replacements, seeing how much I am earning and getting a notification if I’m late for my shift — but it would be even better if I also got a reminder 6-10 hours before my shift (depending upon what shift, for example; 6 hours before a Night, 10 hours before an Early and 8 hours before a Late), or even a notification if I haven’t yet started driving towards work.
It would also be great if I could view my work contract in the app, and perhaps, be able to save some notes related to work.
Oh, and lastly, I really like the message I receive after a shift asking how the shift went and all the options/topics within this.

I have had to use this app for 6 months

This app seems to update the timesheet for different people at different times. Moreover, it is 2022, and yet, the developers of this program see fit to burn my retinas by not giving me the option to use a dark mode. I know I can set this up using a system setting, but I should not have to. It should be in the app by default. While the new design is nice, if I leave the app running, for a sufficient amount of time, I have to restart the app to be able to see anything. Also, I would like to know when my shifts have been released. I used to get a notification, but I do not anymore. Similarly, I would rather have all my shifts displayed on the launch screen, where I can scroll through them, and they are removed once completed. Something similar is done in many calendar applications, so I am not sure why it would be that difficult to implement here, especially considering that it already is, in a way. It was also good in the previous layout, that one was able to see how much they would receive for the week as a total number. Please bring that back.

There is another extraordinarily large oversight in this app, being that there is no way to submit unavailability.

The old view is superior

Recently you have provided the user the chance to view the apps new look. As a user, it look a little prettier but there are feature that are just plain missing that were actually useful as a worker.
1. The quick pictograph of the days of the week you are rostered for. This gives us the ability to, at a glance, see our weekly commitments and days off. The new app makes this harder which updates shouldn’t do, it forces you to scroll through a fortnight of writing with no clear indication of days off eg. if you work Monday have a day off Tuesday and then work 7 days in a row, there is no clear way of viewing this, all the information is jammed together and a continuous list forcing the user to go cross eyed trying to find the their place in that list.
2. The older app did everything this is trying to do but better. The user could more easily see there weekly commitments and the people they are rostered with. The new look changes this accessibility, takes it and reduces it. What was a fluid and intuitive action now requires digging through another list! This list looks like something less inspiring than the windows browser panel when using file explorer. Again I ask, why?

Why have you opted for a harder to use layout?
Why are you favouring looks over accessibility and usability?
And why are you making it easier to show anyone who glances at your screen how little money you may actually earn?
