  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate preferred 

Position Summary :

The Assistant Manager is responsible for supervising all areas of operation with assistance from the Restaurant Manager. You are a key player in the restaurant's performance and have a direct impact on its success. What we need from you is the desire to learn and grow into your next role. This role is positioned to quickly springboard the right person into one of many elevated positions within the company. 

This is a hands-on position that requires you to roll up your sleeves and get on with it. Providing guidance and leadership are key functions of this position. The Assistant Manager will know that hospitality is all about people first and product second, so making connections with our customers and the team is the number one priority. 

We’ll provide you with the training required to operate your restaurant and assist in developing your skills. We have multiple locations opening within the next year and the team is expanding quickly. Our plan is that you learn quickly and grow within our group beyond the Assistant Manager role. 

Key Requirements :

  • 1 year in the hospitality industry
  • Direct experience with point-of-sale systems
  • High level of literacy and numeracy
  • Detailed knowledge of customer service procedures
  • Detailed knowledge of opening and closing procedures
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the company's policies and procedures
  • Detailed knowledge of preparation and presentation of all menu items including both food and beverage
  • Knowledge of workplace health & safety regulations
  • Able to work unsupervised
  • Able to follow directions and work as part of a team to achieve targets and goals
  • Able to communicate effectively with fellow staff, customers and management
  • Able to provide consistent, friendly and efficient service to all customers
  • Able to optimise customer sales through effectively adding value at the counter and at the table
  • Able to operate, maintain and clean all equipment relevant to the role
  • Able to maintain store presentation, hygiene and product quality through following daily and weekly procedures and schedules (i.e. cleaning schedules).
  • Pro-active, positive, enthusiastic, energetic, responsible and friendly
  • Happily and diligently adheres to the company's dress code at all times

Job Responsibility :


  • Ensure compliance with licensing, hygiene, food safety and WHS guidelines
  • Manage stock levels and order supplies in line with established pars
  • Approve time sheets
  • Handle customer enquiries and complaints
  • Greet and assist customers
  • Address and solve challenges and problems quickly and effectively
  • Liaise with customers, employees, suppliers, landlords, authorities, and sales representatives
  • Suggest improvements to the running of the business and development of the restaurant


  • Ensure all team members have completed the required training before being deployed
  • Regularly communicate performance expectations with your team
  • Uphold all policies and procedures
  • Continually motivate and develop your team to improve personally and professionally 
  • Thoroughly document all performance issues in line with established work practices 
  • Maintain good employee relations with all team members


  • Monitor financial objectives daily with a focus on sales, wages, and COGS
  • Accurately track wastage and shrinkage


  • Drive positive customer reviews by encouraging customer feedback as required


  • Ensure accurate documentation of food production, quality control data and records
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with HACCP, WHS, LGA and Government legislation
  • Ensure a safe, and healthy environment by following and enforcing sanitation standards and complying with legal regulations
  • Ensure company assets and cash are always secure and cared for
  • Complete all regular maintenance checks as per the company standard


  • Ensure team members files and company documents are stored safely and on the shared drive
  • Provide daily reports to your relevant manager
  • Comply with all communications policies 
  • Ensure prompt and professional replies to all relevant emails, calls and texts
  • Ensure any documents, reports and company files etc., are accurate and free of mistakes
